what fun--bat detectors are a fortune, and for a bit of fiddly soldering, we now have one. we added a velcro keeper for the battery, which was rattling around and we did not want it to break any of the contacts loose.

No bats. I can hear the badge reader and the ballast in the florescents though.

Great device that anyone with curious kids should own. Listen to bats or anythig electronic.

A little bit of work to get it together, but works great

Instructions were great, soldering took a little longer than expected, but it worked first try. Bats are gone now, but the detector "hears" lots of things, Rice Krispies, induction cooktop, fluorescent lights, etc.

Arrived quickly. Easy to build and it works. I did buy a plastic case to put it in rather than using the cardboard case provided.
